GPS Holder In Dash Tray

So, I bought this Dash tray so I can have my GPS in a more practical place in the centre of the dash rather than stuck to my window where it always falls off.

Now I have a garmin with the magnetic back and I see no way of integrating the two together? The dash tray just has a hole for some sort of clip? I don't even know where to start anyone got an idea? It would also be good to be able to route the cable down inside the dash rather than have it loose in the cabin and plugged into the cigarette lighter but I may be asking too much here.

Cheers

Chances are something custom might need to be made to make it mate up, the tray thing was designed for a specific garmin gps, might not be available for your one.

Also how do you plan on reaching the GPS to enter in the destination? Bit of a stretch to reach isnt it?

Might have been a waste of money I guess. But the Garmin has pretty good voice activation so reaching is not a big problem.

Thanks Dackelone but I think the magnetic back is going to prove a difficult one to make work with this.

Can you post a pic of the back of your GPS? I don't think it would be that hard to adapt?

Hmm how about a pic of the back of the thing that sucks onto the windshield? Probably easier to mount that to the nav tray.

Might be difficult, Really need the ball joint in there so I can angle the unit toward me. It might be easier to find a universal clamp of some sort.

Looks pretty easy to me if you don't mind cutting up the mount. If it was me chop off the suction cup, leaving the ball joint and a small stub of plastic. File the plastic flat, drill and tap the stub and bolt it into the nav tray. Should look pretty oem
