Refinishing wheels help?
I have a full set of forgestar wheels that need some tlc
2 were in an accident and had the powder coat stripped/minimal amount of metal from the lip 2 ran over a curb at about 3mph and just have small "chips" in the lip/powder coat Despite being staggered, I now have a full additional set and want to restore them to keep on hand in case shit happens again Any recommendations for shops that will: Strip the existing powder coat Match all lip sizes so they're aligned properly Possibly powder coat? Although I may just leave them paint free/powder coat free if I can find a finish that will hold up to rust/salt etc Help?

Car dealers have guys that come around and fix wheels on the spot. They aren't expensive. BTW, I wouldn't have a wheel refinished unless it was in absolutely terrible conditions. A spot fix will look just fine.
Another word of warning, if you are unsure of the wheel's condition, I'd take to a tire shop and see if it is still in balance. If it isn't, you need a major rebuild. |
