I have the power seats and like them, but I actually prefer manual seats. They're easy to adjust and there's less to go wrong. The memory function is kind of a 1 trick pony IMHO. If you're the only driver, once you get your seat adjusted it pretty much stays there except for back and forth but that's no biggy. The only thing about the power seats that has come in really handy is the push button at the top of the side of the seat to move the seat forward for easier access to the rear when you're outside the car. That has been a real boon getting a baby in and out of the back.

Dude this was the case in my GTI as well, everyone always pulls the height lever with the shoulder lever sitting right in front of them. This shoots the seat up like 7-8 inches and just creates a cluster fuk. I seldom ride with someone so its not that big of an issue but can be frustrating at times.

I had BMWs manual seats on my stripper 2004 E46 M3 back in the day and couldn't stand them. Maybe it was just the different seat, but I could never get them dialed where I wanted them. Looking for a 135i that didn't have them eliminated close to half of my market. Compare that to the 3 series, where almost ALL of them have power seats (premium package). I found this to be true of a lot of options on the 135i, tbh. Comfort access, nav, and upgraded stereo were others that, again, I found tough to find on 135s, but are very common on 335s. I guess a lot of folks bought them pretty stripped on account of a more "drivers" car. Makes sense from that perspective. With regard to those getting the M sport and not the premium, I'm not sure. The M sport package isn't that common in its own right, from my experience. Probably because it gives you less over the sport package (or at least, less noticeable features) than with the 3. Considering the sports package already gets you the M wheel, and the M sport package doesn't really affect the exterior hardly at all except the wheels - and those are a somewhat questionable improvement over the style 264s, IMO. The biggest attraction to the M sport package to me is really the headliner. I know it sounds trite, but I gotta have that "black" headliner.

why would any of you order an expensive BMW with cloth seats over leather?! You're probably the type of person to get halogens over xenons! go buy a hyundai and get it over with >_< Quote:
6' and 80kg here, 30-50% inflated is perfect Here in australia the 135i and 130i only came with M-sport pack, and i'm 99% sure they all only came with power seats, you have to OPTION manual seats, if they were at all available. I love my powered seats, but i'll get recaros sooner or later, power leather seats weigh 50lb or something? Recaros inc rails probably half that, and lower. also, the lumbar support is SHIT anyway, no matter how stick-outy or up or down or any setting for it, it only ever caused back pain for me.. i fully retract it. The seperate lumbar support inflator is in the back rest and is operated by a four way switch on the side of the seat which looks like this
