Best racing seats/harness?

Question;

Which is the best possible racing seat for the 1M IYO?

It has to look good, perform well and at the same time be comfortable for longer trips.

And also;

Which is the best 6-point racing harness?

I'm thinking: black Recaro pole position with Schroth light blue harness?

Any experience, and/or pics?

Take a look at the Recaro SP-X.

Well, they are regarded as the best hybrid seat on the market and certainly the lightest. Gives you racing shell support with harnesses while still maintaining rear seat access. You do know how much they cost right?

Anything more focused than the pole positions is not likely to be comfortable for long distance.

Other than that, get the Sportster CS like most others.

Sorry, but the "best possible racing seat" is not going to be comfortable for longer trips.

No substitute but to go to a shop and sit in them or, better yet, go to track event and check them out mounted in other persons' cars.

As to harnesses, I've always liked Schroth, but there are several others that are likely as good.

Presumably you're aware of the controversy regarding use of harnesses in a car without a cage...

Naturally, a cage will be part of the equation...

Thank for your thoughts

Really depends on your body size. Many companies have two sizes. Some say their XL's are fitted for 36"-38" waists. Regular seat are for 34"-36". It really depends on what you can fit in. As far as Harnesses, any reputable name that you have most likely heard of is fine. Depends on what color you want.

I have to admit, looking at them once more I realize they actually look pretty good. First time I saw them must have been some dull ass picture.
