HELP NEEDED!! Battery disconnected + trunk closed
I disconnected my battery and closed my trunk! I disconnected the NEGATIVE pole. What do I do? I'm freaking out! I saw a positive pole under the hood, but I disconnected the negative one, so 2 positive poles would be bad right?
I thought about jump starting the car, but my steering lock is on, and I can't push him out of the garage |

FYI I didn't even have to jump mine. My battery tender was enough to give it enough juice to pop the trunk. |

From now on it should be mandatory to fold the rear seats down whenever disconnecting the battery lol. Will prevent this stuff from happening.
Luckily I keep my rear seats folded down 24/7, for work storage. |

Look on your trunk on the underside. Where the plate is, some 1ers have a key hole on the right side. Take you key fob and take the physical key out and turn left then all the way right and it will unlock it. No power needed. Atleast my car is like that.

The outside key lock for the trunk went away by early 2009 manufacture. Mine was made in May 2009 and does not have it.

I did the same thing while installing my audio system. Brainfart! I grabbed my motorcycle battery and jumper cables. Connected it to the jump pin in the engine compartment, and used one of the lugs on the strut housing for a negative. POP!

I am glad I have the key hole in my trunk.
