I guess everyone missed the point. The topic was a fun topic, not to be taken seriously. It was a rhetorical topic designed to flatter the E90. James Bond is fictional. I had this topic on a Watch Forum ( I love Omega and Rolex watches, plus all fine watches; it's an addition. ) once, and the responses were fun.
On the watch forum, which includes a professional Journalist Auto Reviewer for the Toronto Star, the E90 got a lot of mentions as a James Bond car for under $50,000, since its so nimble, can dart in and out of traffic, and could carve up a twisty road. |

Bond had a Z8 in "The World Is Not Enough" (1999), a Z3 in "Goldeneye," though that car did not really do anything cool, and a 750iL in "Tomorrow Never Dies." The switch back to the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish was in "Die Another Day" that also featured a new Jag the Korean bad guy drove. When featured in Goldeneye, the Z3 was relatively new and exclusive in that regard. Now that the public is in tune with that, I doubt that would go over very well in Hollywood. Likewise, something as common as a 3-series would likely not be considered exotic or exclusive enough to excite viewers due to its commonality. |

By the way, the 750iL in Tomorrow Never Dies was my favorite sleeper car. Business-like, conservative, but laden with deadly cool gadgets and features.

I was about to mention the Z3 in Goldeneye. Frogman is right, the sleeper 750 was cool!
For traditional reasons, I'm glad that they went back to Aston Martin's. Even if Ford makes them now. No offense to BMW of course! |

I realize that was the intent, but was then side tracked after reading a few of the posts.... I think they would use an old used american car, like from the 80's. Its huge, and has lots of space for various additions such as ejecting seats, oil tanks and release mechanisms, and various missles.

I doubt Bond would ever drive a Chevy Eurosport--as if the Euro name instills a real sense of European sophistication in a Chevy. |

Like many of us here i spend hours on this forum daily so after months I finally decided to enlist. sup everyone.
So back on track. Has anyone seen previews to the new Mission Impossible. I could of sworn that was an e90 (artic?) in the commercial doin some sorta power slide. It was one of those quick trailer shots. Am i the only one who caught this or have i disgraced myself already and mistaked some other car for the e90? Did anyone see that episode of Top Gear when they took a Lada and had Lotus turn it into a ‘drivable’ car? The cost of the entire transformation cost 100,000 pounds ($174,000). So you can imagine what a car equipped with perfectly installed rocket launchers, machine guns, oil slicks, etc… would cost.
Here is the video: http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...509&q=Top+Gear Jon.

Er. Ford owns both Aston Martin and Jaguar, hence the placements. |

Bond did drive a Toyota 2000GT in 'you only live twice'. So it would depend on the location of the film.
Australia - Holden Monaro China - Chery France - Renault Avantine Mexico - VW Beetle |
