Bubble on side wall

I'm looking at a new set of aftermarket rims, however would like to keep my RFT tires which are currently mounted on the OEM wheels.

The car is a 2011 , and it's been on winter tires for the last 6 months, hence the OEM 18" RF tires have very little mileage, however i noticed what appears to be a bubble forming on the side wall of one of my front tires, probably from a pothole.

The question is: Is it possible to dismount and remount a tire with a bubble forming on the sidewall? Or should I consider the tire as scrap as soon as I remove it off the rim?

Thanks,

You should already consider that tire ruined. Once a tire develops that blister you're better off replacing it. Just curious, is it a Goodyear? My ex had Goodyear's on an Audi that did that.

Replace it, common problem. Pick up 1 used tire on Ebay for cheap with wear similar to the rest of the set and move on.

Depends on the size of the bubble and who's changing the tires. If it's noticeable, no tire reputable place will put it back on a wheel. An disreputable place might and if it's a small bubble you might be fine for the remaining life of the tire. I ran my last set of winters to the end of the season with a couple of bubbles, but they never came off the rims until I replaced all 4.

Depend how big bubble is. Sometimes it is possible to repair it.

They are putting from inside of tire special patch with metal cord inside. But that is only if the bubble is still small.

Since no reputable shop will repair a puncture in the sidewall, that sounds pretty strange.

my shop said if they see any bubbles/bulges they won't even try to mount, that it was "against the law" to mount a known defective tire or something.

Some really reputable shops do that because they know how to do that and they are professionals. And repairing the tire it's for sure not against the law.
Aghh whatever...
