e87 116i starting issue (fuel?)
i have an issue with my gfs e87. the car will not start, cranks but no start. if you unplug the high fuel pressure sensor the car starts and runs quite well. a little rough but not as bad as your expect for having no sensor plugged in.
the engine is the 1.6 petrol n43 im pretty sure. when you watch the fuel pressure on a basic obd2 reader it reads at about 5000 kpa and slowly climbs. it used to climb to about 12k then start just about but it doesnt do that anymore. with the sensor unplugged it says its at 26000kpa which i guess is the computer just having a meltdown. but it does start with it unplugged. the strange part of this is there are 0 codes. and considering the low pressure reading thats very odd to me. i realise those pressure numbers may be abit odd but thats what im getting on a cheap reader. its more the issue with the weird slow climbing pressure. any ideas before i start wasting money of pointless items? thanks Last edited by arron-m12; 08-08-2023 at 12:24 PM..
