Top-Down Oil Changes

2008 BMW 128i E82 6SPD MT

Does anyone know if it is possible
to do a top-down oil change on a
1-Series BMW through the main
oil cover on the top of the engine?

Since the vehicle does not have a
dipstick, I'm interested in knowing
if anyone has attempted this type
of oil change, and whether or not
it was completed successfully.

I do not think this is possible. I would think there is no way you could effectively drain the sump this way.
