I caved...
and decided to add the Sport Pkg on my 128 order. I can't justify buying a car for its performance and then not get the sport seats/sport suspension.
So now we're at: 6MT/Jet blk/Lt Burl/Boston blk/Sprt/Prem/xenon/prem hifi/iPod/heated CA just confirmed we made the June build. Now, six weeks of trying to think about other things. Last edited by tm30; 05-29-2009 at 12:06 PM.. |

You're thinking is right on. If you really want the "sport" in "sport coupe", you need that suspension and tires, and as it's been said, the seats are awesome. |

Good choice! No BMW should be ordered without the sport package unless you drive like a grandma.

I have a 128i convertible on order - to be completed June 3rd - and one of the two options I bought was the sport package (the other was the walnut interior trim). I like the looks of the wheels but did not really want "performance tires". I also would prefer to be able to rotate front to back. What I really wanted was the seats. I like the looks and I also think they are more appropriate for a sporty car. The shadowline trim I could go either way on. I did not drive enough "with and without" to have a good feel for how important any suspension recalibration is but my longest test drive was in one with the sport package and I really liked the feel. It still rode nice and smooth but felt planted in the corners.
