Any chance you can slap the rear on the front to see if it fits. I'd rather have the square setup.

You should pop out the strut nipples for better handling.

Hi JB, I think its very possible 245/40/17 Michelin PSS will fit all around, but it may need more -ve front camber to be totally safe. I expected the 245 would bulge on the rear, but the sidewalls are just about straight up and down. I wasn't planning on swapping them around just for fun, but I can park the car on some bumps and get some pics of the clearance with the suspension compressed.

I plan to get BMW performance suspension and add more -ve front camber. Maybe M3 front arms and tension struts too.

hey, first post since joining. i've just picked up my 1, ordered an exhaust and now looking for wheels. i've done hours of research on wheel and tire fitments for this car and the combination of everything below seems to be absolutely perfect. 19 in wheel, great tire widths without stretching and no rubbing issues with the combo of only 8/9 inches wide with those offsets. only issue here is, these wheels are damn expensive. so my question is, doesn't anyone know of a reasonably priced wheel that you can get in the below sizes?

btw, this car looks amazing!

I have found a local company that is selling BBS LM reps at a decent price, they are "blank" and can be custom drilled to suit the car. They are available in both 18" and 19", however i am leaning more to the 18". What would be a suitable Offset for the 18x8 (front) and 18x9 (rear) for a 135, without any body modification? Offsets available +20 -> +45

I have some minor rubbing in the rear. Can someone tell me how to properly roll the fenders and cut the wheel well liner without damaging anything?

Rear should be ET45. Front can be ET45 for standard suspension and 225/40/18 tires, but you can go more aggressive such as ET40 with negative front camber.

Tires are non-run flat. M Sport suspension

No rubbing and fit perfectly plus saved 8 lbs per wheel/tire combo in front and 9 lbs each in rear compared to stock setup ( style 264 and run flats )

Notes:

No spacers needed. However, spacers (prob hub extenders too) or a lower wheel offset (and maybe more negative camber) is needed for wider tires up front, and a higher offset is needed for wider rear tires. As is, fronts are extremely close to strut, and rears are almost touching fender.

You can rent a fender roller online for pretty cheap and it comes with instructions. Just make sure to use the heat gun adequately so you don't crack the paint. Otherwise a lot of body shops have one and it costs about 50-75$ per wheel well to roll. Kind of a ripoff because a roller costs around $300, but I guess you pay for labor as well!

How come they didnt included the heat gun? If you can find some forks chip in then everyone can save $ just a thought. Or use PVC pipe and your girlfriend hair dryer with some KY haha

Haha I didn't mean that they dont include one. I meant if someone does it by themself they should make sure to heat up the fenders enough. Some people (and less reputable body shops who rush the job) don't heat it for long enough and the paint ends up cracking. I know online shops usually rent it out for a few days for pretty cheap (plus a deposit so you don't steal the roller), and you can get a lot of cars done in that time period. Otherwise, the user HyperM3 does rolling in NJ for cheaper than most shops, and I'm currently in touch with him about rolling my fenders just for peace of mind.
