e82 128i lip options from the e87 (Hamann e87, BMP e87 splitters, ebay)

I have been looking at various images and i thin this is the only lip that would fit the e82 non-Msport bumper

Am I correct in the analysis?

Evidence of possible fit: Hamann M-Sport e82 135i vs e87 hatch Hamann

Not sure, but to my knowledge there might be 1 other one... Do you have pics on a white e82?

Yes the AC lip is the other one.

However I think the carbon look may be better and no paint expense.

here is white on updated e87:

Alternatives

Another alternatives that I believe will work.
Can anyone think about which would compliment 128i the best? I should be able to order one of these options in the summer months
All these options will attach to the current body color humps we have but cannot see most of the time.
The Hamann replica above and these will all cost probably 300 after shipping charges.

BMW Performance e87 M Sport replica from SSDD Motorsport(they are missing an extra 1 -2 cm lip on the bottom that resembles the current front plastic "mudflap")
FIT: Expect up to 1" of over hang over the 128i interior lip/chin edge on each side
Ebay Cost: $200 USD shipped

Kerscher Spoiler Splitter KM1 3039301/1KER

Kerscher Spoiler Splitter 3039302KER
FIT: Expect up to 1" of over hang over the 128i interior lip/chin edge on each side

Time to update this with more options

a ebay Plastic splitter for the e87 "2009 LCI" from Poland, they dont ship to NA, but I have verified dimensions and it should fit like a glove. Warning: Appears to have a texture
Ebay cost ~ $168 USD + shipping

With the interest in the ebay Black urethane plastic 135i splitter, there is a 128i version. Warning:: 135i people have had to modify this to fit well.
Ebay cost ~$200 USD shipped

Did some zooming in and the fit of the e87 Hamann style would have small gaps with the lips groove on the outer edge of the bumper, not the inner edge

Ebay cost ~$310 USD shipped

I could be
My current preference is based on cost & risk:
Mtech replica splitters (I can customize the angle of fit, great to minimize the 1" over-hang & if painted will look great too)
Ebay plastic (great side profile of 135i would look good on 128i, but risk of Fit issues)
Hamann rep ( cannot justify extra $100 and the side profile in post #1 link)

I saw this on schmiedmann. Pretty cheap price.

http://www.schmiedmann.com/1_series/...e1.htm#1941900

Is an E87 "standard" bumper the same as E82 128i stock bumper?

Cannot see your link, what is the product #??

Based on images here is the 128i compatibility:
e81/e87 LCI or 2008+ bumper

e81/ e87 M-sport front with some fitment issues

e92 LCI regular, only for BMP carbon splitters ($400+) with fitment issues

Will be ordering e87 M-tech BMP splitters in the next day or 2.

Somebody stop me, if you think its poor choice over Hamann Replica or Ebay plastic.

So the items to vote are:
1. e87 Mtech BMP Carbon splitter replicas- cuz mounting could be dynamic and will look good if ever painted
2. e87 Hamann Carbon replica- cuz its cool
3. e82 ebay Black Plastic- cuz its cool & cheaper than #2 with risk of bad fit

Can't wait to see pics.

Personally, I think splitters look weird without the center part, but then that would make it a full lip !

Waiting for Shipping of non carbon replicas.
Cost and risk made me choose plastic e87 M sport splitters. Plus I think i would prefer a matched body colour look.

Here is an update on e87 Msport Splitters

Received my non carbon replicas, they are fiberglass not plastic, primered white. :S oh well this is an experiment,so the savings over Carbon are worth it

Fit:
As expected the overhang is 1.5 inches and does look bit out of place, much less when plasti-dipped or painted dark.
The arch is a 5mm flatter at the apex of 128i front, not noticeable

Quality:
Overall, I will need to sand & fill a few areas to make it perfect.

Mount:
Will have to use both washers &screws and 3m Tape

I plasti-dipped them to simulate carbon look and painted look:
Here are a few of the PLASTI-Dipped shots attached by Packaging tape as a test fittement. Far from final product

I present a new option

e36 m3 lip on 128i
Part 51112251767 comes in satin black from factory
or the cheap urethane/poly DDM e36 m3 lip replica, ( if DDM is still in business and has it in stock)
One possible DIY: http://www.understeer.com/lipspoiler.shtml

The fit will need modification on the corners, applying heat, but I think this is fantastic possibility.

Does anyone know how flexible this lip is???

EDIT:
Not flexible, ridgit

Will require using heat gun and cutting our triangles to help bend it

It is about 61 inches wide with large over hangs due to square shape
our bumper is the same, with small over hangs( 157cm = 62 inches)
