Can you remove and replace the steering wheel badge?
Want to remove the roundel from the middle of the steering wheel on a 135i because the chrome bits are showing corrosion from the inside...very strange. Is it possible to remove easily?

I got mine on ebay but its not the overlay stickers like I have on my hood and trunk, its the roundel itself in carbon fibre and had 3M tape on the back. Basically u just remove the 3M backing and stick the new roundel over the stock one...looks really good IMHO.

Sorry for the delay...I can't make these appear smaller sorry about the gigantic size..this is the actual CF Roundel that goes over the OEM roundel on the steering wheel..its a bit dirty tho from fingerprints and such... I also have overlays in CF black but those are on my hood and trunk (as true roundels aren't really available for the E88/82 trunk yet).

went in for an annual maintenance checkup and oil change. Told my SA about the airbag roundel and got it swapped for a new part with no effort.

So I took my car in for service today and pointed out the cracking roundel on the driver side airbag along with the passenger airbag indentation. The dealer changed the oil on my car but refused to fix the roundel and indentation issues because it's not severe enough to justify the cost.

That looks real good! Nice install.
I'm going to throw this out there but you think that can be done on a 2000 Z3 2.3?? Cause all i read is that DON'T do it!! That the airbag will explode on these cars. So like i have the roundel in my hands but i really want to see if i can pull off the old one and pop in this new one i just got. Any help i would gladly appreciate it. |
