Which exhaust to buy?

After installing the oil cath can and JB3 V1.22 which unleash my mod instinct. Now I want more. My next mod will be either in take or exhaust. I am kind of lean toward exhaust firt. I want something that sound exotic like a Ferrari. Which exhaust should I buy? Thanks in advance for your feedback.

one of the best sounding exhausts out right now IMO is cp-e, there's an official exhaust sound thread check it out.

the bmw performance exhaust will not give you much power but I heard it has an exotic tone to it.

Other exhausts that remove the secondary cats should yield some more gains.

FWIW, I'm very happy with the sound of my Riss Racing exhaust and would recommend it to anyone. There are some sound clips on their site you can listen to, but like any other exhaust I don't think those do it any justice. It sounds so much better in person.

You'd be surprised at how many exotic tones you can hear in the cp-e cat-back. I won't be blasphemous to F-cars by claiming to sound like them; however, the cp-e exhaust sounds fan-effing-tastic!

Do you experience any drone with the CP-E?

Drone ruins everything...

Drone has only been reported in the STEP-equipped cars. I won't begin to claim that I don't have ANY drone (note: my car is a STEP); however, it's minimal and totally tolerable. IF I was sticking with the cat-back system, I wouldn't have any issue with it and would run it as-is indefinitely. I do plan to eventually install downpipes too, though, so I'm going to have resonators welded in. Those should pretty much eliminate any drone that's resident.

The last I read, this was still a plan. Since they don't seem to be able to post here anymore, you may try asking the question on the forum where they're able to...

It's not a matter of being assholes or anything like that - they're all great people to deal with, based on my experience. It's a matter of being a paying vendor... Apparently, if you're not paying, you're not even allowed to comment on your own product (even if others are asking about them).

It is what it is, but if you run a Google search for information on Force Fed Bimmers, you should find what you're looking for.

Honestly, it sounds identical to the videos you're hearing; however, the loudness is not conveyed through them. Obviously everyone has a different opinion, but speaking relative to what MOST people I know would think, this exhaust is LOUD on a cold start and kind of "medium-plus" beyond that. The best bet to achieve what you're looking for with this exhaust is to go with catted pipes AND resonators.

Just my $.02...

I don't think that I am going to install any down pipes soon so loudness doesn't bother me as long as the sound quality is good (no truck exhaust sound here). I've checked out various exhaust sound clips, like RR, CP-E, Corsa, Borla, Berk Tech, Mad Dad, Remeus, HausGT ... etc. I like CP-E, Corsa and HausGT the most since they all have a more hihger pitch (or F1) tone, while others just have a lower pitch tone. Out from all, I am thinking CP-E, Corsa or HausGT and now price will be the decision factor. Any comments?

if your looking for something that will sound good but not to loud catless you should check out the Maddad Axel back exhaust. it sounds great and not too loud. I got to try one of his prototypes with my catless mid pipes and its pretty awesome. and it one of the best deals especially for the quality. There is a thread in the commercial section.

From what you explained, the cp-e exhaust is exactly what you're looking for. I've seen the other two and they're definitely nice, but I am partial because I went through the same things you are when making my decision... And well, it's what I ended up with.
