I bought mine at an event 3 years ago. Dude came by selling helmets and driving shoes. Never seen him again... I agree about test fitting first and buying later, after all you want to be comfortable.

Got a helmet. I kinda fit. Wish I didn't have power seats, because those two inches would make all the difference in the world. Oh well. See you guys at 8

Whered you get one tom?

also you may want to get there at 7:45. It takes a bit longer to get situated if youre a first timer. You need to be setup with an instructor (hell be sitting in your car giving you tips and wont leave for at least the first stint)

also youll need to learn about pointer cones, gates, optionals and such.

and you may want to do an extra course walk or two. It helps

You can have your wheels back in May so that you dont need to chew up the BCs

Awesome time, and it was really nice to meet and chat with you guys. Hopefully we will meet at the other events. I was very happy with the upgrades I made over the winter (E93 sway, Vorshlag camber plates and 255/40 square set up) My main rival for the past 2 years was driver no 12, in red E92 M3 and I was finally able to beat him. 1st place in D- class was mine I am uploading videos to youtube and will post them later.

It was nice to see all at the auto-x..

had alot of fun... hope all us locals get to go all to the same event this season so we can meet up and chat

my only gripe was that freaking lot... cracked up and sandy.. it was bad enough it took too the third run to get her in the tires, but have to deal with the sand and rough pavement sucks.

LUBO rocked his runs...

I didnt take any vids, but I scored a 60.2 for Fastest time in C-stock..

BTW had Andre ( i think that was his name ) the main instructor take my car out at the end of the event... and he pulled a 58.7... He enjoyed the ride so much that he said he needs to convince the wife to let him get one for himself..LOL

goes to show how much it is the driver, no matter what mods you have.. Im glad my car had it in it to do a sub 60 Ill just have to keep practicing

see ya all around at the next one !!

PROPS to Muhamed for showing up on Winters !!!! and pulling a sub 63.0 ish time

Andre Noel the guy with the E30 M3? Lol he's the head of the NYC chapter of the BMW CCA. He's crazy nice and supportive

Also yes that lot is shot. Last season we had a pothole open up halfway through the day because it was at the apex of a turn. We had to reroute the course because of it.

The key over here is seat time and then more seat time. This is the one single mod that will help you get better times. After doing this for 3 years it was my first time that I have won my class. I was also pleasently surprised as I was sure that I would end up like .5 second behind 1st place. I am still waiting to see the results. I want to know how much behind I was behind fastest non r-comp. I think I ran 56.209, but can't wait to confirm.

really wanted to go, but i had a feeling that the road surface was shot. from those videos, i guess I was right. were those piles of sand?

did anyone ask is the coliseum has any intent on fixing the parking lot? the CCA might need to start looking for a new location.

I thought that pile of sand was always there. The lot was in pretty bad shape, but at least I am now positive that my wheel setup isn't going to rub over anything I throw at it.

after watching your videos and seeing what you did, I think I could have shaved a second or two off my run. The two places I kept losing time were that right hander at the sand pile where I would brake too much, then not accelerate enough through the bumpy as hell section into box thing, and the other was that last little right/left thing just before the finish line where I would slow down, bog, and crawl across the line instead of carrying some speed.

I want to go on a ride-along with you next time.
