A 235/40 front tire is pushing it, however with your extra camber you might be able to get away with it. I would think it's worth a try as any rubbing that MAY occur will be very minimal, most likely only a full lock on the steering.

I have been running for 1 year a 235/40 18 on an 8" wide wheel with a 45mm offset, moving the center of the wheel 2mm towards the outside, and have never had a rub. I have Hankook Ventus V12 evo k110 tires.

My tire on a wider rim moved 2mm further out should be more likely to rub than a stock 49mm offset 7.5" wide rim. The people that are rubbing either have a lot more weight or bottom their suspension often. I cannot explain it?

Good Luck!
