I think we all know the 1M is not the second coming of the E30 M3, but you have to give credit to BMW for introducing a highly modified limited edition 1 Series variant this late in its lifecycle. It's clearly a nod to the enthusiasts which is becoming a rare thing from mainstream manufacturers these days.
If I were given the choice between a completely mint E30 M3 and a new 1M, it's possible that I would choose the 1M. I don't think I could say that about any other BMW with the possible exception of the original M6. And, yes, I had an E30 M3 for 3 years (1988-1991). |

Both those cars are awesome! Because I already have my E46 M3, I would def get the E30 M3 first and then the 1M
