Do you beat or baby your car?

Generally speaking, do you tend to drive your car fast and take turns fast more than you drive it conservatively and just cruise?

For me, although I to drive fast every once in awhile, I am mostly a conservative driver.

Hmmm....since I've only had my car 3 weeks and I just went past the 1200 mile breakin last week...I currently tend to "beat it" more often then not. I'm sure (well, maybe not that sure) that'll change in a few thousand miles.

Assuming the engine oil already at operating temperature, you have to drive the car at high rpm for 5-10 minutes once a while to avoid carbon deposit in the engine. If you drive your car in stop and go traffic on daily basis, you have to rev it up for 5 minutes once the traffic open up, this will clean up potential unwanted deposit.

DO not baby your car by shifting up at 3000rpm all the time, it will do no good. You have to let it breath and open up.

In anyway, I am not recommending you have to abuse it.

Exactly! What my wife doesn't know won't hurt her...like how I got it up to 120 last weekend on the way back from Houston...

I'm generally conservative, because most of my driving is my daily commute. I do enjoy the occasional spirited drive when I get the opportunity.

My Ultimate Driving Machine wouldn't have it any other way. I was in the parking lot of my local mall with my friend in the passenger seat and I was doing some testing with DTC deactivated and my friend said that people are going to think I stole the car with the way I was driving.

I drive her hard but I baby her even more. I'll take her out for the day, drive her hard, pull some hard corners and make the tires screetch. But when I pull back into my driveway it's always time to pull out the microfiber clothes, Zaino products and Eagle One Tire Wet.

I drive my cars hard, I tracked my 325i and my ZHP 330i. I dont plan to track my E90 but it will see the high side of 5k RPM's everyday.

I will auto-x mine but I dont drive like a nut on the streets its not worth it. I do have some fun through mountain roads but nothing reckless. I have payed out way too much $$$$ to the state and insuarnce companies in the past and have learned it is just not worth it.

Haha yeah im trying to be a lil more conservative now due to the fact that i had to replace both rear tires after 10000 miles.

But we'll see how long my conservative driving lasts

Would I consider my driving reckless? No. But the Clearwater Police might.

Baby it most of the time and occasionally drive it hard. It's a baby wolf in sheep's clothing.

I rev it to 8k RPM everytime, until fire comes out of the engine and pistons shoot thru the hood J/K

I only have 100miles on the car, breaking in is a painful part, but after 1200 miles I intend to drive it harder, 4.5k shift, but then again with gas prices, maybe I'll go easy for a little bit longer
