Pics from my 98 minute Euro Delivery

Here are pics from my 3-30-06 delivery in Munich. This was my third ED in 3 years....and this time I wasn't planning to drive the car except to the drop-off point...6 miles away. Pic 1 is the cafe upstairs, Pic 2 is Bernhard H....he did my last 2 EDs and he's a great guy...takes lots of time to explain all of the paperwork, insurance, roadside service, and the features of the car. This is my second E90 so I didn't need too much of his time.

So did this purely for the savings? What's wrong? Germany/Europe too boring for ya now?

No, I just wanted the car back! We had a car with us so we still did a lot of touring around Germany. The last pic is the parking lot at Harms..a short drive from the delivery center. (you get to drive about 4 miles on the Autobahn so the car was officially baptized).

It looks like the washout from the flash made it look grey.

I noticed this yesterday when I was driving with the sunroof open. The light coming in was washing out the display, but instead of it getting un-readable, the masters at BMW worked something out, so that when hit by light, the readout turns to an almost white numbers on black background. Pretty amazing...

BTW, marcus, Congrats on the car!

Thanks. As usual the wait for redelivery is killing me.

brings back memories for me too. How come you didn't want it built in SC? Is the wait time less, or you just prefer the german touch?

They don't build the 3 series in SC. I like the discount and I have a friend that lives 2 hours from Munich...so it's easy and cheap for me to do this.

I think you had another wonderful delivery, most BMW owners never get to experience. I'm fortunate to be one of those who bought one in Italy via the Fleet Sales, but not as fortunate as your ED deal. Being able to drive on the Autobahn and or Autostada has the benefit of driving @ blazing speeds.
