Scratch Repair... Is this my clearcoat?
I had a shallow scratch on my front bumper near the fmic. I put some paint over it, let it dry for a couple days, sanded it down, and then used Meguire's Ultimate on it (clear coat safe). Then this started to happen and I'm not sure what I'm looking at or how to repair it... The more I used Megiure's, the bigger this got. The black spot is paint that began to come up along the edges after using the Meguire's.

Must have over sanded it, you will need to reclear it. Next time I would immediately squeegee the paint that has filled the scratch.

At this point, unfortunately, it might be worth it to have it done professionally. I'd be wary of trying to repaint the clear on that (relatively) large area.
