I run 295/30 on oem's no problems, cant imagine the 10mm couldn't be worked out in the wheel well, just watch out fir weight and get some larger/stickier fronts to avoid complete understeer, the car feels great with more tire up front as well.

Neil,
I'm running stock rear fitment in the front 265/35/19 Michelin PSS, it feels great, loads of grip and composure. My rears are Dunlop Sport Maxx GT and from what I feel are not as grippy a compound so I think its remained similar to stock with a mild understeer off the throttle, and with a bit of gas neutral, it certainly doesn't take much throttle under triple digits to bring it to oversteer either. It really is far stronger in breaking sections and not sure if its the stiffer springs or the tires but it feels more planted at high speeds. If I'm being honest the tires are my favorite mod so far, followed by chip, and then springs(which I have been very pleaseed with on stock shocks). Spencer PS I remember you very well from the Bimmerpost z3 forums, I was young then and had a turbo'ed 1.9l montreal blue Z3 on black breytons with just about zero stock down to the carpeting, great, fun car with a much better seating position than the 1M, but the performance and driving refinement was far off from the 1m, terrible (stock, and difficult to upgrade)stereo but much better interior, I bought m seats bc they were so awesome in those cars, well still have it, but passed it on and its not in the greatest shape. I loved your m coupe, and my roommate at the time had and still has an imola red S54 coupe on LM's, just gorgeous cars to this day.

Yes I am running these on the H&R sport springs, stock shocks, and on the track and outside of parking lots I have zero rub and great dynamics. I do have rubbing from the front in parking lot situations, I am hoping this alleviated by the new, redesigned, wheel wells if BMW is kind enough to put in.

Short answer is you can fit a 315 on a stock wheel is a 5mm spacer in the rear and a 265/35 in the front.
Now, I am at the pro-solo this weekend and I need new street tires, so I talked to tire god Andy Hollis about what is the most usable tire on the stock wheels. he said to go with a 245 or 255 on the front and a 295 on the rear. There are size problems for the 19's in the hot autox tires. The rivals, dunlop, and the rs3 don't come in the sizes needed. there is only one option that I see right now and it goes against everything Andy said, which is moving to a 275/30 front and 305/30 rear. I am still at a loss on what to do. Looking for a 255/295 option in one of the tier 1 autox tires or tier 2.

RS-3 275/ 305, though the larger front diameter may confuse the ABS sensor. RS-3 235/ 305, better diameters, too much understeer? ZII- 245/ 275, diameter issue again, and less footprint than you'd like. AD08- 255/ 295, good diameters, but older/ slower compound than is ideal. I haven't run the wrong diameters on the 1M, don't know how bad that would be, but if it kicks the ABS into "ice mode" more often it could be a real problem. I think you're kinda screwed... I understand more Rival sizes are coming, maybe run the AD08s until they get here?

The stock class rules will change in the upcoming fasttrack in 8 days for the 2014 season.
Right now it looks like we will be able to move up or down an inch on wheels and get camber plates in stock. I have to have a new set of street tires, so in eight days I may start prepping for the 2014 season and just co drive the mini this year.

Yea I saw the new rules. They make lots of sense to me...
I was thinking of trying a set of new Dunlop Sport Maxx Race tires. Only 80 treadwear, so wrong for your class, but good sizes are available, and I could still drive them on the street in the summer. What wheels are you running those rivals on mdorphin? I need to replace my RS-3s as well, though I was thinking maybe 245/ 295.

BTW, I'm currently running Z2s (265/285) and have never driven a better street tire on the track. I'll be running them in this year's One Lap. Neil |

They are very expensive, new fitment for the GT3, etc. One of the few very sticky options for the 19s short of hoosiers. Would be interesting to try those as summers, leave the PSS for "winter".
