Car Cover
Hey guys. I was wondering on how can I clean my car cover? I bought the custom outside car cover for my 1 at the dealer.
It has rained hard here in SoCal these past few days. I uncovered the car today and now the cover is dirty...I mean real dirty (the car was actually dry, but it still needs to get washed). Those covers really do work on a regular basis. In the mornings all i have to do is take the cover off, and there is no dew. It's dry like a freshly changed baby with powder. when I had my Z, i picked up one from one cheap covers at one of those auto places. And i washed it...then like a retard, I put it in the dryer. the cover literally fell apart.:iono:

FS: Covercraft Car Cover - Evolution Technalon
I have a brand new Covercraft Evolution car cover for sale. I bought it for my 135i but realized I don't need it. I've opened it, but it's never left my apartment and never been on my car.
I paid $148 for it (best price on the web as of 2 months ago) and will sell it for $125. Can discuss shipping with interested buyer. It comes with a warranty which buyer can send in to Covercraft. This is the thickest cover that Covercraft makes and will protect against dents and dings, in addition to weather. The cover is sized for the 1 series, but not a form fitting cover that only fits this car. Evolution® (Technalon®)

Taken from cover craft web page- 1 - Using a large commercial washer without agitator, wash the cover using 1/4 cup of Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner (some WeatherShield covers are compact enough to be washed in a normal size washer). Put the cover in the washer and pour the cleaner in the tub after it’s filled with warm water or pour it directly in the machine (some wall mounted commercial units), then put in the cover and start the machine . 2 - Rinse the cover twice (2X) to remove all the cleaner. 3 - Air dry (unless it’s one of the covers noted above that can be dried in a dryer with regular or low heat). A cover may also be cleaned by turning it inside-out on the vehicle. 1 - Mix one ounce Simple Green All-Purpose Cleaner per quart of warm water. 2 - Spray or sponge onto cover. 3 - Rinse with plain water (until no suds) and allow to air dry.

I cleaned a car cover once in a big laundry room sink. I used some mild detergent and my hands to give it a good rinse. Then I put it in my yard and draped it over some lawn chairs and gave it a good rinse with the hose. I let it sit to air dry outside in the breeze and it turned out really good.
