Tempted by this. I already have the V3s. I guess I'll wait til one goes out...

Already had two go out... Only a matter of time! This set seems to be pretty solid, though.

Really? That sucks! I've had all colors they have offered and never had a issue. Hopefully the quality isn't a issue now.

Just curious though. Do we have to put the switch around our headlight as well? I'm asking because 1 series famous for its tight headlight space. Correct me if I'm wrong

Lux is saying that they are "significantly brighter then the v3" so I would be very interested to see some pics of these in 5000K-7000K on a 1 series. From what ive read the higher you go the lower the visible light output is so 5000K would probably give you a better DRL.

I wonder if doubling the LEDs is enough to brighten the rings to see them during the daytime. Even though the LUX V3s are the brightest LEDs during the day, they still almost look like they are off when in direct sunlight to me. It would have been nice if they had made them adjustable down to 2000K...
Looking forward to shots in full unobstructed sunlight from an E82 housing!

Marc, how much brighter are these compared to the 5000k? How your stock so far? If your not running to low, I may go ahead and pick up a pair in the next couple of days

Lower temp and dimmer maybe, but visible light decreases dramatically as temps increase. Still, can't wait for a shot from an e82/92 housing!

No error. Took me a while to figure out where I should locate the ballast on the first one. The second one went fast. I stuck the ballast to the inside of the rear cover with velcro. It's located between the low and high beam, oriented vertically with the wires pointing up.
