My new 135i + Questions

Last Thursday I picked up my new '08 E88 135i.

Thought I'd just pop in and say hi and see if anyone could help with a few questions.

Before I start, I have researched each of these but just want get some more specific opinions.

Not looking to do a whole lot to this car but the things on my list are (in order):
1. Exhaust
2. LCI Blacklines
3. Audio

I'm 24 and located in Australia so some of these things aren't terribly easy to source for a good price after you add shipping etc. Im not worried about gains etc, just want a bit better note and volume from the car than stock. Looking for other Aussie's here to potentially come in with their opinions on some affordable options. If all else fails my current options are looking like the Remus single exit or the Berk system as once shipping is added to these its gonna cost me over $1k anyway.

Also, I have been having the issue with the jerking forward from complete stop after letting foot off the brake (usually at lights or stop sign). Have read so many threads about this and seems there is alot of different solutions for different models but haven't managed to find much on the 135i specifically. Seems in almost all cases it's software related. Or maybe I am even missing something and it's meant to be like this I dont know. Anyway if anyone can shed a bit more light on this in regards to 1ers it would be very much appreciated.

Anyway I'm sure I will be lurking around here relatively often from now on so I'll see ya all soon

Cheers,
Bev.

Welcome and congrats on your new ride. The only lurching forward issues that I know of are software related to the dual clutch transmission, which was only available for the 135i between 2011 and 2013. Maybe someone else can chime in with more info for you. Good luck with your car and your upgrades. That looks like the BMW Performance carbon fiber diffuser.

Nice car!

I was going to ask about your diffuser. Is that BMW? Looks sharp...

I'm going to be honest with you all and say I have absolutely no idea what the wheels/diffuser are. If someone else has any idea and could chime in that would be great!

IMO best place to order your blacklines is Schmiedmann.. I ordered mine this past Wednesday and received them Monday, pretty fast as they ship out from Denmark and I am located in Florida. They are great, here's a pic of them after the install:

Congrats!!

What kind of sound are you looking to get with the new exhaust?
Considering stock loudness is a 2/10

Thanks mate!

I'm not too sure on loudness tbh. Would like to keep cabin drone down as much as I can to keep the gf happy and don't wanna go TOO loud to keep the police happy haha.

I just want it to sound a bit more aggressive when I give it gas. Some more burbles and pops would be appreciated. At the moment I feel like the stock note and volume is a bit of a dull drone.

Sounds to me downpipes would be a better options rather than exhaust.
You could also get a conservative exhaust like the Active Autowerke gen II

Was actually just looking at the Gen II on your site.

I've never done downpipes on any of my other cars so my experience is limited but from what I'm reading, it's illegal to go catless here.

Thinking something like the Gen II might be the easiest and best option.

How much would shipping set me back on something like the Gen II?

And also shipping on a set of DP's if you were to recommend some?

Postcode in AUS is 3122 if that helps.

Thanks again for your help and suggestions.
