Looking into the possibility of a second 1M :)

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
Hello 1Mers,

As the title states, I'm contemplating getting another 1M. I owned a new, loaded VO 1M, back when they launched, and I didn't pay a cent over MSRP. In other words, not desperate to get my hands on one, and certainly not looking to pay an inflated price.

If there is anyone considering selling his/her 1M, I'd be interested in a deal. Ideally VO, but equally partial to AW.

Let's see what's out there!

Good day to everyone!

You could have bought your old one back last month!

Never understood why you got rid of it. Someone said you had a problem with it and got spooked. But I'm surprised you're going back so soon.

Maybe the fact that the car is on its 3rd owner already might tell ya something....anyway...I am wondering what the OP sold his for....Hopefully it was not at an inflated price.

I know! And I missed it by 2 weeks...I would have purchased it back in a heartbeat!

Huh? Spooked? Not really. I've owned 5 cars since my 1M...I guess I have car ADD, but already on my way to pick up an identical twin.

There was nothing wrong with the car. Please let's not start false rumors that may concern the current owner...it's not nice, specially if it's not true.

You probably do (like me); we just miss the conditions and pocket depth to fully realize it

Nothing at all wrong with the car, I have car ADD too. I am addicted to aircooled Porsches right now (964 C4 and 993 C2):

Care to elucidate on that comment? Seems contradictory to your later statement that you would buy the same car back in a heartbeat. From the fair number of 1Ms that show up on the market, it would seem that many owners had 2nd thoughts after they purchased the car.

Hmm? I think I was the one who said I'd buy it back in a heartbeat. I'm the OP. Either way, I would have if it had been available when I was looking. Picking up the twin soon.

Car ended up not being to my standards...passed on it but still open to any reasonably priced fully loaded VO's or AW's in mint shape!

Went to see and buy a VO at a dealer in MD. After days of paperwork, phone calls, and arrangements, it was a wasted trip. I just want to warn anyone searching for a 1M that the car ending in VIN 96468 has had at least driver door repairs, and they also blended into fenders. The car does look good, but anyone as meticulous as I am would not be able to live with it; worse yet, nothing reported to Carfax so who knows what happened to it. They did not expect someone to show up with a paint meter.

Still searching for a good deal!!

Curious: what paint meter do you own? When I bought my X5, I had the dealership run their PTG over the paint. All checked out well, but it's the only way someone can tell if a car has had bodywork done.

Quick cell phone pic...I'll upload detailed, higher resolution pics later...this thing is an unbelievable beast, very unexpected for a car this size!

And a little music (excuse the video quality)
