Anyone that wants to donate an E90 with any of the above forementioned "ugly" combinations to a good home, please let me know... I think we are splitting some pretty fine aesthetic hairs here. Beige and Alu is fine. Grey and Poplar is fine. Personally I want shadow blue alcantara and carbon fibre.

Three worst color combos, IMO:
1) Beige w/ aluminum - by far the worst 2) Gray w/ aluminum - fall asleep looking at it, it's so hohum and monochrome 3) Terra w/ poplar - lighter wood clashes mightily w/ terra Hey, but that's just me. Different strokes for different folks. I'm sure some hate my terra/burl combo too!

Man, they should ban some of those combinations you all posted. "Sorry, that combination is not possible."
Does anyone with aluminum trim have inconsistencies in the texture? I was looking at it from the driver's side and part of it seems to protude out. It's a little bumpy on the passenger's side. |

Beige with aluminum is the absolute worst combo that I have seen. I'll bet that this combination will result in a substantial deduction come trade-in time. Terra with aluminum would be my choice for second worst. From other posts here, it's evident that many dealers do not have cars in stock with black interiors. This suggests to me that black w/ aluminum or wood ( very hard to find with the present trim shortage) are the best sellers. Many previous BMW owners have found that beige and grey are the hardest interior colours to maintain.

Have you seen Terra with aluminum in person? I don't know anyone who has seen mine and not commented on how much they like it.

Jwocky, I'm with you man. I think beige with aluminum is one of the cleanest and unique trim setups you can get. For some odd reason all these people can't help but love wood trim or praise that black is much easier to care for. After having a car for 3 years with black leather I will never have one again because it showed more crap than the beige interior I had in my car before that. So Jwocky, I say ROCK ON and to everyone else, have fun driving your office furniture (wood trim), ha.

Here some recommandations from BMW:
Elegant combination: Modern combination: Sport combination: I like wood only with beige (maybe black), other colours are better with aluminium or titanium matt. My opinion. |

I have Aluminum/Grey Leather and I think it looks great, I think you haters are high.
Granted, I bought my 3 as an incoming car to the dealership, so I'd only have to wait 1 month instead of 3, I think it was a great decision. however that being said, if I was going to order the car, I probably would have picked Poplar/Beige, or atleast Black Leather/Aluminum. My Interior. (1st day back from dealer)

Hi Guys! I fully agree with stressdoc! This is not a good tread and might hurt proud owners. Lets put it this way if the owner of the car likes it that way then for him its the best combo. Imagine we all like the same interiors would be dull!

I like Beige with Aluminum. It's classy and keeps cabin cooler in the summer versus the black with wood.

I kinda like Terra over aluminum (especially with deep green exterior). My personal favorite is Aluminum with Grey leather, and a deep green exterior.
I'm not a fan of the "lemon" color offered overseas... it's alright, just a but too yellow for me. ~D.J.~ |

In all honesty, I didn't think any of BMW's interiors were all that exciting when I was shopping. The leather just didn't seem rich or supple, so I went with Terra because to me it seemed to best mask the average quality of the leather. In time, the combination has really grown on me and I have received a lot of compliments on the interior. Now as far as the individual program is concerned, BMW has some real winners there.
As far as bad combos - just as I don't think any were real winners, I don't think there is a truly ugly one. Besides, who cares what anyone else thinks? I now love my White/Terra/Walnut combo. If someone thinks its hideous, they don't have to drive it.
