Auto trans gear ratios
Does anyone out there know the gear ratios of the Automatic tranny? If so could you share? I need to do some calculations for shift points.

I'll save you the trouble (6200 rpm)
It's also printed on bmwusa's website under the "specifications" heading I'm feeling lazy now so you can do the rest yourself |

Thanks for the responses. On the BMW site I see there is what appears to be 2 ratios for 4th gear. It goes
l/ll/lll/lV 4.78/3.06/2.15/1.68 lV/V/Vl 1.39/1.20.1.00 I understand what you are saying but, consider torque multiplication of each gear coupled with the torque curve and there is a sweet spot for each gear when calculated out from a dyno sheet. Usually higher RPM as you go up gears. Part of this is academic, as I doubt anyone here myself included hits each gear perfectly each time but it is something to strive for. Thanks
