Great fuel consumption from our 125i
We've just returned home from a brief holiday to the Goldie and Noosa, a round trip of ~2200 km. Driving to the speed limit all the way along the Pacific Highway, and with little city driving, we recorded 6.6 L/100 km. A couple of weeks prior, I had done 1100 km on the Hume to do a consulting job, so the car was well and truly in good shape. I'm very pleased about what great fuel consumption I'm getting after 78,000 km. The injectors have never been touched, and it's still on the original plugs. I've always used 98 RON fuel.

that's quite good actually, especially from 3.0L straight six. I think I get around 7 when it's just me in the car on the freeway.
Sadly my partners Golf 90 TSI gets 5.5l/100km which is a huge amount less than my 7 :-( but it's not as fun right? that's what I keep telling myself.

My N54 sits on 11.0L/100km all day every day. This is with 70% suburban driving (ie 50-60kph zones). The funny thing is the fuel consumption only changes 0.1L when I drive on the freeway. I thought it was supposed to update based on the last 30km of driving?

I drive my n54 pretty spiritedly & get 11L/100km day in day out, mix of open roads & m4 at peak hour. I've had it as low as 10.3 on long drives up the coast.
My other car was averaging 18L/100km luckily MAF conversion is paying itself off with that having dropped to 13L/100km & driven like a race car |
