So what kind of FUEL and ENGINE OIL is everyone using
Hi guys just curious to know whats is the best brand of fuel to use for a 135i N54 or N55
I was running late to met meet up with a friend last night for some desert, having just enough fuel to get from home to BP at the airport via the M5 i was forced to make a de-tour due to road works on the M5 motor way, running low on fuel, i had to fill up with Caltex vortex 98, but been using BP ultimate 98 certainly not regretting it at all as the response i got from the car was amazing.. Car= 135i-N55 (ps why do we have to pay tolls if their were always going to get disrupted and forced to make De-Tours with takes longer and waste more fuel) |

And before anyone asks again, I change my oil every 25,000km whether it needs it or not. That's what it specifies in my manual. After 3 years I've only done 22,000km. Must be one due this year.

I understand that oils ain't oils, and as a result oil choice is the basis of many forum wars. However, if one choses to change their oil frequently (every 6 months) then surely any differences (e.g. Castrol Edge Sport vs. factory Castrol, as someone asked above) are minimal and not worth worrying about especially so for an unmodified car?

A lot of WA car forums/car guys seems to suggest V Power is the way to go. Of course you can't tell the difference without actually doing some data log. |

whatever fuel was in the car I siphoned out of. I try to pick high performance cars to maximise my chances of good octane petrol

As for an actually useful conttibution to this thread, I have found that BP works the best for our cars in Sydney. However, I am a cheapass and cant pass up the 8c discount I get at caltex for shopping at woolies.
