Any idea what this could be and how the heck I get rid of it.
So,
Had my car professionally detailed about 8 days ago. I have washed it twice since - 2 days ago and today. I did not notice this 2 days ago, so I don't think it was somehow left behind my the detailer. But I can't be 100% certain on that. Either way, I have not idea what it is or how to get rid of it. I have tried 2 different tar/bug removers and also a product called Goof Off. Goof Off has never failed me before (for non car stuff) - will remove almost anything off of anything. Did not make a dent on this. It looks like I could scratch it off (maybe), but that is about the last thing I want to try. Any ideas/thoughts? |

In the picture, looks like sandmark but I highly doubt they sanded that small part.
Have you tried compounding? I'd try Meguiar's Ultimate Compound or similar products and that should go away.. |

Looks like the remnance of bird dropping or tree sap. Although that's a pretty big area for tree sap.

my first thought was etching from a bird poop, but i dont see you that can still be visible after a fresh detail

I got in touch with the detailer. You guys are right, it is an etching from bird poop that was on the car. He wet sanded it when polishing and says he is surprised it still showing so much in the sun.
He is going to come by next week to fix it up. |
