[PSA] JB4 Users, What Is Your WOT AFR?
Just to be clear, my car has DCI, CP with BOV and DPs. I am not throwing any codes apart from the catless DP codes.
For all of you who run JB4 on your cars and haven't gone into the details of fine tuning it or playing around with it, make sure you check what your AFRs look like. I was running at about 14.5 on WOT which is BAD! The car hesitated a lot when pulling and the power came in bursts, not linear at all. The fuel gauge hijack was almost straight in the middle which is consistent with the 14.5 I was getting from the JB4 app connected with the USB cable. I had to increase the AFR bias values by 40% to get a consistent 12.5 AFR. The fuel gauge hijack should be at 1/4 tank. Is it just me and it was a one off case? I was running default AFR bias values... |

When I last checked, car was pretty much high-12s across the board. Good PSA though, will check on the drive home from work tonight.

Nope, I got the JB4 in late 2013 and had it on my previous 135i but I don't remember checking my AFR's. I did the firmware update less than a month ago when I noticed the AFR's where out of whack and they didn't improve until I played with the AFR bias.
