My Alpine White 135i build, keeping it clean

I've posted a couple other threads individually for the few mods that I do have but I'd like to have one for everything.

For some background, this is only my second car. Through high school and college, I drove a '97 Saab 900. For the better part of that, it had a turbo off of a Dodge Ram Cummins and was making north of 400whp. I learned a lot about tuning, turbocharging and engines in general but it was what it was: a project car. It didn't handle well, it had a limited aftermarket, and it just wasn't pretty. It served its purpose but I told myself once I graduated and got a job, I would get a car that was more aesthetically appealing. One that would make me do a double take every time I walked away from it.

This is what I pulled the trigger on. Here's some shots from the first few days:

Then came the Blackline LCI's. I just knew that these had to come before anything else, they are truly a work of art.

Next, the factory spoiler had to go. So it did. And I actually liked the car with no spoiler for the 30 minutes that it was spoiler-less
I love the shape and subtlety of the new.

Lastly, the stock rear skirt wasn't living up to the beauty of the tails and spoiler. In that last picture, it just looks out of place. I didn't have any intention to replace it anytime soon but so of course, an iCarbon unit that looked exactly like what I had in mind pops up in the for sale section.

This is how she sits currently:

From here all that is left are some bigger items such as wheels, suspension and some sort of addition to the front end. I'm not looking to make this car into a project which means everything must fit well. There will be no zip ties and no ghetto-rigging. I intend for this car to stay functional but look as classy as an Alpine White 135i can come.

Looks great! I'm in the same boat as you, my first 'nice' car that I'm going to do 'right' from the start. GL to you sir.

I totally agree. To ME, a build thread is swapping turbos, updating the fuel system, needing a new MAP sensor etc. etc. Believe me I feel weird even calling it that just because I haven't done a single thing for power

Thanks though! I upload everything into Lightroom and can usually accomplish a good chunk of the edits in there but will open Photoshop as needed.

Agreed! But I couldn't just get them by themselves, they all had to come as a package

This is a build thread for sure!! This is just the beginning. Iam sure the OP has many more mods to come.

Car looks great!! Those new blacklines really changed the rear of the car along with the spoiler and rear diffuser.

Very nice, I think we have similar goals in mind for our cars, the subtle OEM+ look. Great photography skills by the way.
