LCI Tail lights on all the time

I have a 2012 135 and my LCI tail lights stay illuminated (LED part) regardless of the switch position, is this correct? Is there a setting to change that? Just a new BMW owner, lol. Did a search but couldn't find anything.
Thanks,

This can be turn off through the settings on OBC, keep in mind the corona rings will also turn off during the day. I choose to leave them on during the day so i can be seen by other drivers.

Oh ok, so they are on in conjunction with the DRL, guess you learned something new every day, lol. Other vehicles I had when the DRL are on only the fronts came on never the rear, that is why I ask.
Thanks.

Find someone local, or search on this site for someone that can do it remotely, and you can have the tail lights coded to be off when the DRLs are on. Earlier 1-series are setup this way. Not sure exactly when BMW added the tail lights as part of the DRLs, but I think they did it across all their models in the U.S.

They can also be turned off in iDrive if you have it.
