Some guys are crazy enough to drive the track even in rain...

This was a run early in the day on April 25th, 2009 at the Porsche club track day at Miller Motosport park (East track). With it actually raining on track, times were slow. I treated it as a good chance to work on my lines.

Here's a 10 minute video of me in BMW 135i in my best session at the Intermountain Porsche club event at Miller Motorsport park on March 25, 2009. It was rainy all day. The last lap in the video was my fastest, under 2 minutes! Not bad for a wet day and street tires!!

It looks like your camera is mounted on the bumper. How'd you do that, what kind of camera is it, etc?

Lines look good man. Were you solo or with an instructor? What group were you in?

Any over heating/limp modes?

Ah good to know. How long were your sessions? The rain must've kept the cars running a tad cooler. I just had a track weekend here in FL and it was sunny and about 80F both days, and after 30 mins my oil temp would be hovering around 260-270. I didn't have any problems, but there was a 335 that kept going into limp after about 20 mins.

On the 135, the 250 mark is directly in the middle so the needle points directly down. On the 335, I noticed their oil temp is 210 in the middle, so usually their needle points to the lower right. His was doing that... but then kept going lol. Wonder why they used a different dial... does the 135 have a higher threshold?

His must be an older 07, they updated the dials for 08 or sometime late in 07 to the new gauge with 250 in the middle.

4 sessions, each 25 minutes. I was in the advanced group with only 7 cars total! The other groups had 20 cars (roughly) each.
