Oil Change

After the walnut blast, I want to do an oil change so that everything is nice and clean going forward. I have a couple questions.

1. Where is the cheapest place to get a filter? I've tried ECS but the freight is a killer. And I'm guessing the dealership won't be shy in charging big.
2. Do I need the filter tool or can it be done with normal tools and being careful?
3. Do I need a special tool for removing the oil reservoir plug or will normal sockets do the job?

Thanks for your help and advice.

alternatively: bursons sells the filters for.. it was about $20 or $24 iirc. Had them in stock too which was nice. Unlike SCA.

ebay isn't a bad source ($20 posted or so) if you can wait.

and +1 for that filter wrench, it works absolutely perfectly... no point paying for the fancy one unless you for some reason really want to torque it on.

best price if you can pickup, about normal if you need shipping.

Did you notice much of a difference after the walnut blast?

My girlfriend drove it and said it felt like a new car. No delay when the accelerator was depressed. Once the OCC is installed I'll give it a good spirited drive.
