PROcede

I'm putting down 402 rwhp and 438 ft\lbs with the new beta maps. I have DCI, HPF FMIC, and PWM Meth kit w/3" charge pipe. For a lot less money! Shop around and do some research before you buy.

Biggest problem is that the e89 invariably makes other car owners feel inadequate and ashamed of their own cars, resulting in their undeserved admiration for ours.

OFF Topic:

I got very close to buying one of these cars. But the more research I did the more I steered clear of this car due to the carbon buildup bullshit. The car I very nearly picked up back before the 1M was announced, had 30k miles and smoked like a cigar on start up. Huge warning sign,.... didn't want to spend a couple $k cleaning the valves every 10k miles. Otherwise, much respect for that car....

The B5 RS4 had the 2.7 V6 twin turbo engine. You're talking about the later 4.2 V8.

The B5 RS4 is not DI so doesn't suffer from carbon buildup, like clived said.

Most DI engines suffer from carbon build up even the N54 (some Lexus engines don't as I think they wash a little fuel over the valves).

I ran into Tiff Needells at the Nurburgring today (10/31). He was recording a test of the Jaguar XKR-S on the track for Fifth Gear. Even though he was busy, he chatted with me for a few minutes. I asked him about any perceived negatives about the 1M. His response is he honestly had none except for the looks, lol.

How is he off-camera? He seems like he would be easy to talk to and carry on a conversation.

He is a ok fella, seemed easy going, totally different to Jason Potato (Plato) - arrogant........ We did the same as Clive and also some sideways action in an M3, he had my wife pissing herself laughing with his comments while out on track......

Yeah, he was ok - very similar to how is on tv - although I guess he was kind of performing all day. We also got to teach him something - how to type an "é" on the keyboard! :-)

FMIC

I have the 7" HPF FMIC and it has two support bars that go to the front bolt on the sway bar to support the additional weight.

Call support

I would contact Robert or Shiv. It's possible you have a bad vacuum switch, but they can run you through the trouble shooting steps. If so, they'll get it taken care of.

What I can never understand is that Fifth Gear is a UK programme but for whatever half brained reason, anything from channel 5 on YouTube appears to be blocked in the UK. I get the message "this video contains content from Channel 5, who has blocked it in your country on copyright ground."

WHAT?!?!?? I live in the bloody UK!!! Arrrggggg!!!!!!!

The reason is that in markets where tv rights have been sold, efforts are made by the licensee (with licensors help) to block other distribution channels that would dilute the value of what they paid for. Ie, they want you to watch it on air. It's the same reason that sport programmed are often blocked on tv in local markets where stadiums are not sold out (in the US this is a common practice). So, it's all about the dollars, which is why these programmes are made - no $ no tiff no fun
