Most of the dealers are getting the 135 in Metallic black, any reason for that?

Most of the dealers are getting the 135 in Metallic black, any reason for that?

Considering the Metallic/jet black with red interior and glossy Black trim

What is the deal between the two blacks ( is one better looking than the other ? )

Does jet black look darker and cleaner and why would dealers get the Metallic over jet for their demos?

Thanks

please use the search function for your query on the two blacks. much information exists in various threads. the consensus is that jet black looks blacker but metallic black requires lower maintenance. that, in large part, may also be the explanation to your observation that dealers (who, as a breed, are probably not too fond of showing tender loving care to their demos) are opting for the metallic.

Hmmm... trying to figure out which one you like better...

Why do the dealers order it? They can charge desperate buyers hundreds more for a car on the lot if it has metallic paint.

If you take good care of your paint, JB will be a darker, deeper black. SBM will require less attention, but likely won't look as 'black', even if well maintained.

JB is sensitive, metamorphic, when clean, JB will reward you with a stunning black dark, when dusty, JB will appear as SBM, that is, with sprinkles. Quite the accommodating color.

ROFL, I agree!

My advice? Go to your dealer and look at each color side by side. I did, and went with Jet Black. The metallic was to sparkley for my taste and the JB just looked...pure. That is however my opinion...go look for yourself!

Oh and check out interiors as well, they look NOTHING like they do on BMW's configuator.
