Rear Sway Bar - Simple Questions

My car was not a sport package so has no rear arb. I thought I had bought a stock one off a forum member, but, they disappeared on me so I'm now looking.

In my sig you can see have have done some suspension improvements to the car. I have a 135i front bar sitting around not installed for fear of unbalancing things with a stiffer front bar and no rear.

So now looking at doing subframe inserts and a rear arb. I think I'm happy with the thinner stock bar from reading all the stuff on here about arb's. They can be found dirt cheap on ebay or from salvage yards off of e90's.

- I notice some bars with 13mm and some with 12mm diameter. Any differences as to fitting on the car?

- Some of the bars for sale on ebay include end links, brackets and bushings. Are these likely to be worn out and useless?

Thanks for any advice.

You'll need the matching bushings. That's all.

Thanks. E90 13mm arb's are easy to find cheap.

Putting a sway bar onto a base 128i is pretty easy. You'll need a tap to clean the threads for the sway bar bushing mount, you'll need the bushing mount/bracket and bolts, and you'll need some finnickery to work the bar into its resting place.

I put in an ECS 15mm solid bar, and I absolutely loved it then, and love it even more now, with an Eibach 28mm solid front bar.

EDIT: I grabbed part numbers; 2-pieces 33556780707 (Bracket), 4-pieces 07119907125

One last question (maybe)...Does the Eibach 15mm rear bar make more sense?

It does if you plan on upgrading the front one at any point in the future. I didn't see any drawbacks with having it on without the upgraded front bar. It did make the car feel more tossable, and it liked to step the tail out ever so slightly , which was fun.

Oversteer is faster than understeer anyway.

I'm finding a few 15mm rear arb's at decent prices (used). Anyone with a feeling how this will work with a stock 135i front? If it's unbalanced to the rear, I don't mind changing the front sway as that is not so difficult. Just want to do the rear once being such a chore.

Keep in mind I have a 128i so power put down isn't such a problem.
