Corner/Turn Signal Light Coding Question

I've been working on my headlights for a while and I have installed some switchback LED halos. With the switchback function they turn from white to amber and pulse when the turn signal is activated.

Now while I was testing it became apparent that I had forgotten that the turn signal bulb is always on in our cars! Which means that my halos turn amber every time that bulb is on. I could always just have them stay constant white but I would like to get that switchback working.

Is there a way to code the corner light to turn on only when the turn signal is activated?

Also, if there is a way to isolate that turn signal positive or wiring from another source please let me know.

Thanks

You can code the corners off.

Look into BMWhat app...now called Carly for BMW. You can do it on your phone with a blutooth or wifi adapter. You can code your turn signals and other things with your car.

I've bought the Carly for BMW app ($50), and a cheap wifi OBD2 dongle for $16 and coded this off.

Very easy.

I bought this one. Can't remember if I bought from eBay, Amazon or Alibaba, but think eBay.

It's the wifi version.

Just bought a cheap Galaxy Tab 4 and a bluetooth dongle to use the app. Being an iPhone guy, I've been meaning to get the android tab to use MHD flasher anyways.

Here's some test pics of the lights. See how they switch to amber when the corner lights up.

Wow! Need to see a video of it in action.

Also if you made a DIY on opening and closing the headlamps properly the community would appreciate it

Thanks, I'll see if I can do something about a DIY but it might be too late since they are done. Opening them "properly" is difficult, it's more an elegant hack job than anything lol.

Here's a short video of the transition. I have to say that I am very pleased with the halos from TRS. The Morimoto XSBs look like solid light and are very bright. They are really very white, not blue like the video.
