Careful people... do NOT start attacking. Tag was right. Maybe his delivery was wrong, but he was correct regarding the legality of amber reflectors...

How could it possibly make a difference what car he/she was driving?
A cop in California is way more likely to pull over a modded Civic, than a modded BMW.

It is just reality here in SoCal.

They can write a ticket for just about anything too it seems. I wonder about the Bimmerfest event this year. If an organized police raid like this can occur similar to this one, you gotta wonder what else might happen.

Thank you... that Cailifornia Vehicle Code section states:

All other vehicles, also display reflectors, amber left front and red left rear, height 16 to 60 inches, visible 500 feet.

Sheesh - after reading that newspaper report it appears that Joan Claybrook is alive and well and living in California.

As long as you are not driving crazy or acting like an idiot, the cops are usually pretty cool during Bimmerfest.

They can write tickets for everything. I was holding up a cop, trying to go slow over speedbumps in my lowered 3er years back. It must have pissed him off, because he pulled me over and wrote tickets for every mod I had. I deserved it, my car was heavily modded.

If you have a tastefully modded 1er, Euro Headlights will not be a problem.
