VO available in So Cal
There will be a VO fully loaded for ~60kish at Bob Smith arriving sometime next week.
I keep telling you guys dealers are saving their allocations to order themselves cars for mark up. Once they get them and/or cant sell them the prices will come down and the allocations will open up. Only catch is if you buy it you have to let me see the car so I can finally decide on my color choice. Good luck, and there are more coming to other dealerships |

Find a better dealer. My dealer NEVER charges more than MSRP for a car. My SA also informed me that people are dropping like flies from the waiting list.

Even if people bought over MSRP I doubt they are willing to admit it on this board. Last edited by !mspinster; 06-10-2011 at 09:59 PM.. |

Although we are halfway through the year, I think we havent yet really seen the cars. Production and delivery are different time frames. They will start arriving in more numbers in the next 2-3 months, and for another month or two after production ends. I dont see the average shopper going for it. Limited colors, manual tranny, no sunroof, and an M3 priced very close when you factor in the mark-ups. They can get the things they want....color, DCT, sunroof for almost the same price in a 3 and everyone thinks 3>1. Dont forget this is a 2011 when the rest of the showroom is 2012s Time will tell, but I wont be surprised if they start discounting the showroom models near years end. |

One is a VO. I did not ask about the other color. Both cars are fully loaded and arrived in the port. The are expected to be delivered to Bob Smith in Calabasas tomorrow per Internet sales chat this morning. No discounts, no deposits; first come, first served with cash/approved credit, including the markup.

Dealer calls me says the truck just arrived we are about to unload and prep it. I rush over and the lady had already bought it. 5K mark up.
I get on the freeway to head home and I see another VO on a car transport right next to me as I merge into traffic. Salesman did tell me they have another one coming. Optioned similarly |

And people were saying that they won't sell at markup. This is Southern California, I remember the new Camaro's going for 10-15 over.
