There are numerous reasons that wouldnt be a consideration for people in addition to keeping it forever.

Actually, now that I look at it, I would just try painting the mirrors and part of the spoiler and maybe a decal on the side. You could do VO, red, blue, or whatever color floats your boat. JUST TRY IT BEFORE PAINTING YOUR WHOLE CAR. YOU MIGHT LOVE IT!!!
