So they have a 1M PCD car there now? I hope I get to drive it, I'd much rather drive that than a DCT M3.

18 more days until my PCD! I loved reading through this, makes me just that much more excited.

Does anyone know whether cars (like mine) destined for pick-up at the Performance Driving Center come through the Brunswick, Georgia VDC?

Nice write up and good pics, congrats on the new car.....

You guys though appear to have something going on with blue tape on the front of your car, some sort of tape fetish lol

Whats a few stone chips here and there to add a bit of character to the car ; )

Are UK customers still unable to take delivery of new cars at BMW Welt? I know it doesn't offer the 'performance' portion that the PCD does, but it is still a fun way to take delivery of a car.

Nope, it is not available to us in the UK. I think that it was being looked into but nothing ever came of it

Thanks for the write-up. I've been away from BMW for a while (sold my E34 535 in 2002 when I got the A4) and had forgotten about PCD.

The BMW Performance Center is only about 3 hours from us, so I just called my CA and said I wanted to do PCD.

Man, I'm psyched.

Looks like you had a great time! I really wanted to do this but I had to choose ED or PDC. I hope you enjoy it. At least you don't have to wait!!
