cold air intake
anyone know of any other cai i can buy besides the one bmw sells i found a few things for the 135 but nothing for the 128
|

do you have a link as to where i can find this intake? I googled it, but didn't find anything specific for the 128i, i found one for the m3, but sadly i don't have one lol

I'm definetly not going the BMW intake route. Unless they lower their prices I'm not even considering it. 800$ for an intake that only adds around 6 HP and makes the engine a little louder is not a great deal. The only positive thing about this is that it does not avoid the warrenty as you have previously mentioned. I am shopping around for something a bit cheaper. So far nothing great and new has come up yet for the 128i sadley but i've found around 3 different air intakes for the 135! that were not BMW intakes.

I have heard of a few people installing a simple K&N filter in the standard airbox.
Never seen any photos but I believe this is being done for the cost of the filter <$100.00 AUD. You need to look more into filters for the 130 as this has been around a lot longer and was around before the 135 so hence people looked to it as the peak performance from a 1er and hence looked at after market mods. Now days with the 135 around all after market companies are concentrating on this for the performance parts and the 128 is left out except where they are common. |
