I am crossing my fingers for a Year One of the 1 Book even though mine is "Year Three of the 1 but Don't Call It a 3!"

Global warming is NOT a political issue. It has been politicized by the RIGHT. I may be a Democrat, but I am NOT a party line tower for any party. What car I decide to drive today has NOTHING to do with my belief in Global Warming and respect for our planet. Don't like it ? Don't buy a BMW, whose would love to position themselves as the first truly "Green" car Manufacturer.

I wonder if they'll send me anything else...

Just for comparison sake, when I bought my 2004 R32, VW sent me a numbered poster. Car also came with a pen and keychain with R32 logos on them. The keychain I got from the BMW dealer was junk, used it for about a week but got tired of it knocking against the dash with every movement of the car...

The book seems pretty well put together, nice photos, high quality paper... Can't frame a book and hang it on my wall tho...
I'm kind of surprised they are still giving out Year One of the 1 books on 2010 models.

Does BMW AG also offer gifts such as these like BMW NA does?

No idea, I've only had my car a month. My car was purchased as a US Spec from Pentagon Military Car Sales, so I dont have a clue if I'll get anything or not. Might want to ask one of the other military owners on here who have an older 1er.

It would be nice though, that sketch and that pen are really nice, not to mention a really nice gesture from BMW. You dont see too many US or Japanese car makers doing that.

I have had my 128i for close to two months and i have received nothing, nada, zilch! I used to be an avid VW freak and with every purchase I received a nice gift within one month of purchase! I did receive free A/S front and reat mats though...
