Anyone know his/her track record for photoshopping things that are accurate to what's eventually released? Does he do this from his own imagination or does he have some kind of inside source to spypics or pre-production models?

Hey man, you are not going to get any complaints from me about making this forum a well rounded (intellectually speaking) place to be. To me, the people who come and contribute to these forums for the most part are avid learners as it is, so you are doing no harm in my eyes.

The only thing that might PO some of the moderators around here (like bmwfreak) would be placing those OT subjects in the wrong part of the forum, thus creating more work for them to do  .

I hope this is true, I really like the aggressive look on that PS.

Now those front lights would look beautiful on a small car like the 2-series coupe!

Scott 26's comments sounds accurate to me...
BMW will have to make the 2-series coupe stand out from the 1-er.

& Huckfeldt's photoshops are very close to what eventually hits the streets.
His photoshops of new Audi models are spot on.
I think people within the German manufacturers feed him hints and info...
and he nails it pretty close.

If Huckfeldt is accurate about how the 2 series coupe will look like then I'll be most impressed. Thats a great looking car, especially the rear.

Has huckfeldt done a 2-series coupe or convertible concept yet?? I agree he's so accurate in what he draws.

I don't think he has Declan......or we'd be swimming in posted images on this site...which goes to show you how tight BMW is being with the 2 series...ie, I'm sure he takes his cues from leaks, info, back channel chatter and I wonder if, in a sense, his business relies on putting out images that are timed to please his sources within the German car industry.

Possibly it's even more formal than that....though I'm speculating here.... I could see a situation where he or his staff unofficially meets with someone from a car manufacturer and a list of design possibilities are hinted at or broadly endorsed to create a buzz around a particular model in a time frame that is convenient for the manufacturer.

As you've mentioned, his photoshops are amazingly accurate months before the real thing finally appears. The only one I remember that was way off was the latest Audi A6 which turned out to be a very conservative design in spite of sporting their "shield" grille. Huckfeldt's impressions had a very low roof and a much emphasized shoulder line. The A6, when it finally appeared was somewhat of a letdown when compared to Huck's design.

it may bear some resemblence to that but that's not it. Clearly a photoshop and nothing "official". Thats just a photoshopped hatchback. Nice to see another pic tho.

I have heard we will get more E92 esque tail lights, but the proportions seem spot on.

Good way to revive an old post and laugh at the differences with what we got presented a few weeks ago.
