Tried to avoid tire fire off the line, so I gently rolled off the clutch, and onto the throttle, launch RPM was under 2000. That got me through the bottom half of 1st until I let 'em up all the way to redline. Shifted into second, spun pretty good. Car is definitely a back-half car. The 1/8th was solid for the mods, but not amazing, 8.4@89.

This was done at a private access road. Verified flat via VBOX, runs done both ways with similar results. Heatsoak was a big issue though. ET's pretty consistent, but trap speeds varied about 2-3mph as a result. It was obvious heatsoak, as all the lost trap speed noticed occurred in the 1/8th. Once the car gets past low speeds, it's alright.

I'm so disappointed in this time, but proud of the car. The car is literally stock aside from JB4, down to the crappy RFT's. My best MPH for the night was a 115.53, so I know the car has a lot more in it, but between troubles getting it into 2nd gear and the lack of traction, needless to say I was getting frustrated tonight. Temps were in the 40's, so the weather was very nice, just couldn't put it all together.

So my 60ft is crap I know that, that was my fastest run but only 2.2 60ft, the rest were 2.1s (yeah I know not MUCH better). This seems slow even for a stock car, I am wondering if I need to do a carbon cleaning as well, it does have 70k miles and has never had the valves cleaned..
Other than learn to drive, any suggestions?

My best 1/8th with RFT's is with a 2.0 60ft and a 8.7 @ 83.5mph so far with only 6 total passes...just gotta get used to launching at the track. We need stickier rubber, everything else is a waste of time and you risk tearing up your car.

It was my '91 fastback s13! Loved that car, it was so fun.

I sold it in 2006 with a warped head, broken trans, no interior, and a dead battery for $4k! But she was clean....
