The iCarbon rear diffusers showed up yesterday...I'm heading out of town till Thursday but will be fitting these when I get back. I'll be sending one of them off to our fabrication shop so we can then schedule session to work on the routing for the exhaust. So some real work should be going on during November and maybe we'll all be able to buy ourselves an early Christmas/holiday gift for ourselves

So since u have both diffusers, are we going to see quads for two different set up? That would be great! Super excited!

Sorry for being MIA for a bit. First off, hands off to the iCarbon crew. I haven't pulled images from my camera yet but their valance fit on quick and easy. I snapped a few photos and sent it off to our fabricaiton shop. Its with them right now and in the queue to get a car in for a fitting. We've got local guys with cars lined up but we haven't pinged any of you guys yet because we've got a Subaru STi going into the shop next week eating some of our shop development time just due to (bad)timing with all of this. But the valance with them so as soon as we get the time slot we'll be bringing a car in. I'll post back when I pull the photos of my camera and upload them as well as when I know we got the car coming in. We're closer....
The question about having both valances. The first exhaust will be a unit that is a mirror of the factory cutout. We haven't ruled out the other option, but the first offering will be the "mirrored" setup. R.

Guys,
The boys are in the garage today working on this. I've been on the phone with them a couple of times. This first offering is based on the Street series mufflerless design but remember there is more exhaust routing/splitting so it would be a bit quieter than the current Street Series. We're going to keep the main focus on the mirror setup for now. As for fit for a 128i, sorry this is being made specific for the 135i. We haven't moved into the 128i territory yet. R.

I actually like the mirror setup after seeing it on the upcoming 1M. Look forward to hearing sound clips when it's released. If this is truly a drone-less exhaust then I'm sure it wouldn't be a bad option for those running catless downpipes and aftermarket midpipes without resonators or cats.

Pics you've been waiting for
There will be more info to come in the coming weeks. Keep in mind what I'm sharing are the very early pre-production stages of how we build an exhaust. This is the rough routing we're taking. Some of the conversation that took place before we started to rough this out was 1) do the tips need to be "real" with exhaust flowing through them. The obvious answer to that from the photos is: absolutely.
Second was...options for routing the flow. Some methods are easier than others...but let me just say I'm not a fan of anything that is currently offered on the market, that's one of the reasons we're doing this..we think we can do it better. You'll note the routing we took for our exhaust is different than everything else currently available. We wanted a more balanced flow setup going to the tips on on the passenger side. The only way to do this was to split the exhaust routing a lot sooner, right after the diff and send it around to the passenger side. You'll note that a cutout needed to be made in the lower valance support/splash gaurd to support the flow path we wanted to take. This will be quick and easy work with a dremel and we will include a template to trace the area. I'm very pleased thus far with the way this is working out and I'm sure you picky folks will agree with the routing path we've chosen. Hats off again to the boys at iCarbon. As we get closer to production we'll lay out more details of a pre-orders and various options that will be available for the valance from iCarbon. Stay tuned.... R.

So sexy. Can we get some sound clips with a compleately catless car? Also I have a Ross Racing mid pipe which is a single 3" pipe with a 3 bolt flange, how hard would it be for a shop to make it fit?

Also will you offer a heat shield? It looks as if the exhaust is close to the dif and cv boot which could cause premature wear or damage.
