Offical Horsepower Freaks Product Update Thread By: Lutz Performance
Hey guys to make it easy for the members here on the board I decide that I would make a thread for both us and HPF to jump on and answer any questions you may have about the HPF N54 Product line. We also will be updating this thread as new products are in design and become available on the market. If you have any questions you can email Myself (Andrew@lutzperfauto.net) or Diego (Diego@lutzperfauto.net) or PM Chris (from HPF) here on E90 Post.
For any of you that dont already know HPF already has some serious kits already available for the E46 M3, and are in development for kits for the N54 platform. Although the details for the stage 1+ kits are still being worked out, bookmark this page as your source on keeping updated on the progress and availability of all HPF products for 335/135. Currently only the HPF 335/135 Intercoolers are available and ready to ship! Salivating for STAGE II ***HPF and Lutz rock!
Spoke to Dave over at HPF...still in the works for Stage II kits. ETA Fall/Winter 2010
HPF FMIC Usage with HPF Stage 2 Turbo System The HPF stage 2 turbo system to be released January 2011 and will include all of the HPF stage 1 components "plus" our HPF intake manifold, HPF exhaust manifold with T4 flange for single turbo, A 67 series turbo, an aftermarket BOV (TBD), our HPF fuel rail and injectors, fuel pump, and new IC piping for the hot and cold side along with 5-ply silicon couplers and T-bolt clamps. For those that purchased the FMIC already in the earlier stage with the c-clip inlet and outlet flanges, they can simply ship it back to us and we will weld on the correct stage 2 inlet and outlet "beaded" flanges for free. For those going directly to stage 2 at this time, we will supply the intercooler with the correct stage 2 inlet and outlet flanges. HPF FMIC Usage with HPF Stage 1 Turbo System The HPF stage 1 turbo system to be released in May???? includes our "end user tunable" engine management system (to be announced), HPF plug-n-play harness, HPF exhaust system, drop in air filter and the HPF FMIC with c-clip couplers. This kit is designed to maximize the stock twins potential while still retaining the factory IC piping. If you already have the FMIC with c-clip couplers then you can purchase the remaining stage 1 kit components separately when the kit is released.

We updated our 335i project plan, and as a result of other E46 M3 projects we're working on, our 335i development slid a bit. We don't want to get to far behind our competitors on releasing products for the 335i, but we also don't want to stop pushing our E46 M3 turbo kit. MFest and Bimmerfest preparation as well as building our new E46 M3 took away some focus. I'll get you some new updates soon.

Will that manifold be made without the fuel rails? Are the fuel rails there to replace or supplement the direct injection?

From an aesthetics standpoint making the intake manifold minus the fuel rails would probably make the engine bay look a lot cleaner when an intake is fitted compared to the stock manifold. If it were made in carbon fiber that would be hot. If this thing was produced, I'd definitely have that in my upcoming wish list of goodies to have installed.

Andrew, will the down pipes be available for purchase as I really like my RR exhaust due to the weight savings of one pipe.
Also could you give me a ball park figure of stage 2, for a test car and not. Thanks!
