Are you guys able to run out 4th gear through the traps or are you shifting into 5th? Oh and other than the driver mod (most important) tires and track conditions play a huge roll. I know these 135's come from the factory with the worst possible drag tire. If you can nail down a 1.7-1.8 sixty I don't see why 350+whp won't get you guys into the mid 12's with 110+ traps. But this is all easier said then done since I drive an AWD turbo car.

Lol, if you hit a low 1.8 60', you'll be high 11's, low 12s but that kind of 60' only comes once a year for an average 135i driver. You're about 5200 rpm in 4th by the time the 1/4 mile comes by, at around 112-116mph for most JB3 modded cars. The gear ratios are much taller than most cars. Last time I went up against them, Evo VIII's and IX's were a car length ahead by the 60' but I'd beat most of them by a tenth or more once we got down the track. The Evos get terrific 60' times but don't have the weight/hp ratio that a modded 1er can produce. There was one Evo IX by AMS that was putting down low 11's, high 10's that night... monster car.

Sorry for bringing this back from the dead, but would high altitude affect time too??

I know turbo cars are not affected that much, but still would account for lower ET times??

My best with tune, was 14.1 with RunCraps and 5000ft above sea lvl

although this was my first time at the drag strip and ive seen the same car go 13.6

Went to the drag strip on a whim tonight...Running Stage 3+ my best time was 13.3 trapping 109mph, ET's were ~2.1-2.5 due to the spinning...The run-craps spun in first and second and even a little in third. The launch is VERY tricky to get right and the tires don't help. I also pulled off the shift knob on my second run...after that I completely removed the knob and boot..just didn't need another distraction

Bingo! It's not as easy as it looks.

Add IRS, electronic nannies and runflats and you're not looking at drag strip heaven!
